Field Trips

Field Trips

Conference field trips will be offered Saturday and Sunday mornings to key birding hotspots in the region with some trips repeating. See trip listing below.

  • Times listed are arrival/departures at the site.
  • Field trip registration will only be in advance through the online conference registration.
  • You will receive a field trip email that offers a suggested time to meet in the hotel lobby to carpool or caravan and offers detailed travel directions and meeting spot.
  • Do you need to borrow one or more pairs of binoculars for your field trip?  Just add a comment on your conference registration and we’ll have those ready for you.
  • We will ask for your eBird username during registration and we will keep one eBird list for each trip that we will share within eBird to eBirding trip participants. (Don’t worry if you don’t have an eBird username, read more below.)
  • We will also email the group trip list to all trip participants so, if you don’t use eBird, you will still get a copy.  But, we do encourage you to learn more about eBird and consider signing up for a free eBird account.
  • The official group eBird list will be of birds seen or heard by at least one trip leader PLUS at least one participant.  You are welcome to add additional birds that only you saw/heard to your personal copy of the trip list.
